As with some others here, mine worked flawlessly, turned on my ThinkPad with the app recording, it picked up the code, told me it was RAM (it was a used motherboard and I hadn't bothered to check if RAM was in it), installed said RAM and problem fixed... still not sure what was wrong with the morse code beeps of the olden days but hey, I guess there's more flexibility with being able to beep out a fully numeric code.

99% of the time, no code is identified. The times it does show a code, it is not an actual code. Double checked permissions. Removed the bottom of the laptop to make the volume even loaded. Tried is an absolutely quiet room. Nothing but add extra frustration is what this app does for me.

After my ThinkPad E15 gen 2 decided to stop booting after an "update" to its BIOS, I saw references to this app on the web. After getting the app cued up to hear my musical tone error, I saw the tone register, and eagerly awaited my diagnostic information. Only none came. The tones registered, and.... Nothing. The screen showed "N/A" for the error, and all info fields were blank. Seriously.. You had one job.. ONE JOB! And failed at that. "Disappointed" doesn't even touch it..
