Most of the channel contents are really good quality, the app is ok, but could the team please allow any desired combination of languages / subtitles, rather than limit it? E.g. French dubbed version of the video with Polish subtitles, for instance? That would be really easy to implement and would make the channel a really useful tool to expand the European linguistic skills of its audience!

It's alright. I wish the front page would use location instead of language settings to determine which videos will be available. As an intermediate French speaker, I'd like to set the user-interface language to French but then it shows me thumbnails of videos that are mostly only available to view in France. If I set the language to English, I see thumbnails of available videos (thank you!) and most of them are French anyway... just with English subtitles. So why not just show me the same list when I set the user interface language to French? Android's location settings are there for a reason.

I love Arte, always a refreshing view on culture, politics, society. The app has a few flaws however. One, the subtitles don't always make sense, it's sometimes not possible to switch them off, or they display a different language than the one selected. Second, the navigation makes little sense. I have the impression the offer here is very limited and that there are more Arte videos on YouTube than on this app. Why is there no navigable archive of all videos here?
